About the Speakers

Brett O'Brien is a Managing Director on the ICS team and focuses on product development, capital raising, and investor and distributor relationships for Blackstone Infrastructure Strategies ("BXINFRA").

Prior to joining Blackstone in 2024, Ms. O'Brien was a Principal on the Investor Relations team at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) where she led product strategy for the firm, focusing on both product development and fundraising. Prior to GIP, Brett was a Director at BlackRock and member of the BlackRock Alternatives Specialists team, where she was responsible for distribution of the firm's global private credit platform to institutional investors in the US and Canada. Ms. O'Brien began her career in finance at Paulson & Co. where she was a Vice President on the US Institutional Investor Relations team.

Ms. O'Brien received a BA in History form Boston College and and MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Darren Fisk is a multifamily expert with more than 20 years of experience in real estate and finance. As the sole founder, he established Forum in 2007 with a focus on multifamily acquisition and development investments. Since then, Darren has expanded the firm's capabilities to include real estate debt and structured finance solutions for multifamily owners, operators, and developers across the U.S. In 2020, the firm rebranded as Forum Investment Group to reflect its fully-integrated multifamily investment platform. Today, Forum has evolved into an innovative asset management firm that provides access and expertise to multifamily investments up and down the capital stack and throughout economic cycles.

As CEO, Darren leads all Forum's business strategies, including serving as the head of two investment committees, overseeing the firm's investor relations, and working closely with the company's development and operations teams to execute Forum's distinctive vision and design for its properties. Since its founding, Darren and Forum have invested in and/or developed over $2.4 billion in multifamily real estate, with more than 15,000 units in 21 states.

Darren is a graduate of the University of Colorado - Boulder, where he played football and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He serves on the advisory board of ACE Scholarships and started the Fisk 5 Foundation with his wife, Blake, to shine a light on the significance of family to foster a culture of good judgement, integrity, character, graciousness, and humility for tomorrow's leaders. 

Ryan Brome brings more than 15 years of real estate experience and capital markets experience to Forum. As Chief Operating Officer of Investments, Ryan leads the firm's investment management operations across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing through portfolio oversight. Collaborating with senior leadership, he helps enhance governance, strengthen risk management, and implement scalable systems to support the firm's growth. By aligning cross-functional teams and formalizing core processes, Ryan promotes operational rigor, workflow efficiency, and a consistent focus on delivering strong outcomes for investors.

Ryan previously served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Strategy, and before that, as Head of Capital Development at Forum. Prior to joining Forum, Ryan worked for such names as HFF, Real Capital Solutions, and McWhinney where he was most recently VP of Capital Markets & Investor Relations.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado - Boulder. 

David Robertson is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of FrontRange Capital Partners, a real estate private equity firm he co-founded in 2010. FrontRange invests in equity and structured debt positions backed by commercial real estate.

Prior to FrontRange, David was Co-President, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Apartment Investment and Management Company, a publicly traded multifamily REIT with more than $10 billion of assets.

David earned a Master's of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1991 and a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego in 1989.

Christian McCormick, CFA®, Head of Client Portfolio Management has two decades of experience and a passion for introducing and explaining new and complex investment topics to a wide variety of investors in the private wealth space with the goal to positively contribute to the retirement and financial well-being of investors.

Previously, Mr. McCormick has served as NEPC Senior Consultant, Voya Investment Management Senior Client Portfolio Manager, Allianz Global Investors Director and Global Head of Quantitative Product Specialists, INTECH Investment Management LLC Managing Director, Meketa Investment Group Consultant, and Pacific Corporate Group Financial Analyst. Christian holds a BA from Principia college and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®). 

Alex Tatum, Partner. Mr. Tatum was one of the founding members of Constitution Capital. Prior to joining Constitution Capital, Alex was an Investment Manager at Standard Life Investments Private Equity USA. Previously, he was a financial analyst with Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Tatum began his career with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as a financial analyst in their investment banking division. Alex earned his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College where he completed a major in economics.

   

Charles Gans-Lartey, CFA®  - Mr. Gans-Lartey is a Managing Director and Head of Product Management within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares' client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Charles was a Senior Product Specialist in the Private Wealth Solutions Group at Blackstone, where he focused on credit strategies.

Previously, Mr. Gans-Lartey was a Vice President in the Alternative Investments and Manager Selection (AIMS) Group at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on the group's hedge fund platform. In addition, Charles was a Product Executive at Schroders across their London and New York offices. Mr. Gans-Lartey hold a B.S. (First Class Hons) from the University of Warwick, U.K. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and is a CFA®  charterholder.

Mike Gelsomino joined Apollo in February 2025, as a Principal on the CPMI team. He joins from Alberto Safra Family Office (ASA), where he served as Head of Multi-Asset Solutions, overseeing ASA's ex-Brazil investments with a particular emphasis on fixed income and private credit. Prior to ASA, he spent 8 years as a Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager at Itaú Asset Management, where he managed portfolios across public and private markets and was a member of the firm's global investment committee.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Foreign Exchange & Interest Rates Analyst at JPMorgan and later as an M&A Analyst, focusing primarily on direct lending and acquisition financing. Mike holds an MBA from Cornell University, and MSc. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Haverford College. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Kaelyn Abrell is a Partner and Portfolio Manager for ArrowMark's regulatory capital relief and multi-sector credit investment strategies.
